Good Shepherd

Good Shepherd

Do you ever wish you had someone to take care of you?
We do, those of us who are “in Christ”.
He hears our hearts.
He perceives our need.

From the Heart of Abba This Day:
Beloved,

I hear your heart.
I see (perceive) your need.

I AM you Shepherd.
My eyes are on you.
I see you.
I am with you.

Lean on Me and you will
Feel shepherded.

Worship the LORD

Worship the LORD

Beloved,

You worship Me,
When you ascribe to Me
The glory due My name.

Remember the sea?
The power that it has,
To transform land,
To destroy but also
To build up.

Remember the beauty of the waves,
The sound of the surf,
The unceasing yet ever changing
Beauty of the waves
As they pound or lap upon the shore.

I created the oceans.
I set them into place.
I created all water,
Salt and fresh,
And set the waters into place.

That is a picture of my power,
My might,
My intricate minute attention to detail,
In only a portion of My Creation.

I am attune to,
As well as in control of,
Every detail of your life a well.

I bring order from chaos,
Joy from sorrow,
Peace from turmoil.

As you choose to turn aside from all distractions
To spend time doing as I say,
And ascribing to Me all glory
Honor, and power in worship
The cares of the world will fade away.

Come before Me often.
Remember the sea when you need a change of focus.
I am God with you,
As surely as the tides rise and fall,
I will ALWAYS be with you.

Remember To Rest

Remember To Rest

Whether you are “in ministry” or simply walking through “life”, there is something to remember.
We are to be YOKED with Jesus.
When we are yoked with Him, our burden is light.

Matthew 11 says: 28″Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. 29″Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. 30″For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Think of an ox. When it is time for it to carry a load, the owner brings it forward and settles it into the yoke. The ox can struggle or submit, can’t it?
Best to submit.
Then the ox, who has been yoked with the PERFECT match must bear or pull the load.

However, no good owner leaves his ox yoked or working forever. When the task is completed or completed for that time, the ox is unyoked, fed and has a time of rest.

We are called to trust, lean and rely on God.
We are to LEAN on Him.
He is our Rock, our Fortress, our Deliverer as well as our Defense.
He sends us forth to walk for a time with another, to carry one another’s burdens.

Gal 6:2 Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

But he invites us to do so yoked with Him. In ALL we do, whether it is ministry or “life”, we are to be lead by and yoked with Christ.

Talking with some precious sisters in Christ yesterday I realized. That we both “minister” and live life, yoked with Christ for the task. But it is equally important to remember that we are to “unyoke” from “work” and rest.

Interestingly even at REST we are WITH CHRIST.
Don’t you pure love how he is so omnipresent?
Don’t you LOVE how he issues that precious invitation in Psalm 61:2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

Let’s remember both to be yoked for whatever task is at hand and to “unyoke” and Rest. But to be “with” God in both situations.
His name IS Emmanuel, God With Us.
Let’s remember and strive (or is it rest) in order to “be” with Him.

His Constant Love

His Constant Love

From the Heart of Abba this day:

Beloved,
I know the need.
There is a need for heart connection.
A need for awareness of My love for you.

Come before me, as often as you are able.
Kneel (symbolically or literally) and lift up your hands,
As well as your eyes and simply receive.

My love is ready for you to receive.
You ARE My beloved.
My LOVE is the CONSTANT in turbulent times,
When nothing seems stable,
When the old ways no longer work,
When life is changing moment by moment.

And you recognize your inability to “be” in control
Instead, come to Me and
Recognize your position of “being” Beloved.
The need to “be” will shift to simply BEING and knowing that,
YOU ARE LOVED.
You are loveable too.
Simply because you are My Beloved child.

Be a JOY Seeker

Be a JOY Seeker

From the Heart of Abba Today:

Beloved,
Be a JOY Seeker.

You can be alert and intentional,
About noticing the JOY moments.

In order to hear the birds chirping,
You need to be tuned in.

Tune into the JOY channel.
Watch for it!
Notice it!

JOY is there within the moments of each day,
Ask for awareness of it.

Remember JOY moments can be gentle and quiet
Joy can also be exuberant and loud

Feed your soul by noticing in a conscious way,
The JOY moments that I send your way.

This is a photo of one of my precious grandsons, Reece. We were at the zoo and they went into a maze. Suddenly they were out.
Joy can be like that.
We can be stuck in a maze of “stuff going on” one moment, then suddenly (if we are tuned in and our eyes and hearts are open) a JOY moment appears.

God’s Provision

God's Provision

From the Heart of Abba:
Beloved,
Each time your need is stronger or bigger,
Than your ability to meet it on your own,
That will be a time,
Of supernatural provision.

It could be emotional need, physical need or spiritual need.
When My children come to the end of “self”
And call out to Me
I am always there
To meet their every need.

A Scripture on Worry

A Scripture on Worry

Hear the Word of the Lord from Matthew 6:
Do Not Worry

25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Come Just As You Are

Come Just As You Are

From the Heart of Abba: An invitation to COME….
Beloved,
When you don’t know WHAT to do,
What to say,
What to think.

When nothing makes any sense.
When your heart is broken, shattered, torn and bleeding.

KNOW this:
I see,
I know,
I care and
I am WITH you.

Come to Me.
Fall at My feet.
Fall into My arms.

Come however you can.
But do come!

Come for comfort.
Come to weep.
Come to scream.
Come and do whatever you need to do.
Just remember to COME to Me.
I am waiting for you.
Abba

Look Beyond the Clouds

Look Beyond the Clouds

Sometimes life has such hard/difficult things. Sometimes we can tend to focus on the difficult thing and allow that to become our focal point. Our true focal point is God.

I was talking to a sweet sister today and sharing a word I will share at the end and she said, “sometimes one thing can try to take away the other good things by clouding our day”. Isn’t that so TRUE?

Just as these dark clouds almost hide the sun, so also do difficult moments of our days. We can get so focused on those “clouds” that we miss the beauty of the SON. Or all the lovely gifts He sends our way even on the worse days.

In taking sunset pictures, they can be really boring if there are no clouds. I wonder…. if we never had a difficult moment or season, would we get “bored”? Don’t we sometimes forget during the really easy times to focus on the Son?

From the Heart of Abba Today:
Beloved,

When things are hard,

Even unbearably hard,

When it is MORE than you can bear,

And you admit that to Me,

Then you find that while the pain, the sorrow, the longing is still there,

Life can still be beautiful.

This is a GOOD day to BE in tune with Me

I am WITH you,

Loving you,

Caring for you.
