Yes, there may be consequences for choices we make in life. Some of those are directly from God but done in order to draw us back to Him and position us for blessings.
Other times there are natural consequences.
There may be times when we do not FEEL his love, but it is still there.
Imagine a small child being sent away to school or taken into an operating room for necessary treatment. The child may feel abandoned, alone, frightened, and even afraid that he/she has done something really bad for Mom or Dad to send him/her away. We all know that is simply not true.
God has promised never to abandon or forsake us. He has also given us an extensive list in Romans 8 or what CAN NOT separate us from His love.
Heb 13:5b Amp for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]
Dt 31:8 It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”
