Thy Word

From The Heart of Abba

Thy Word

When you come to Me,
Bringing with you,
All that concerns you,
You will find that I am there.

When you draw near to Me,
In My word,
I will bring LIGHT to,
Your darkest path.

When you come,
As you come,
Because you come,
My Word becomes part of you.

When My Word becomes
Part of you
Then you will be enabled
To live and move and have your being
In Me.

So come Precious Child,
Come often,
Come just as you are,
I am always waiting to welcome you.

Invited Into Kairos Time

1 Cor. 15-58(b).jpg

From The Heart of Abba Today:

If you have never heard the gentle voice of God,
Speaking directly into your heart,
May this be the day.
If you have never seen the Hand of God,
Or it’s been a long time coming,
Let this be the day!
He stands before each of us,
Inviting us to enter His REST
It is by entering the REST of GOD
That RESTORATION occurs.
Enter the Kairos Moments…
For you know not what.
In the presence of Abba.
That there is a peace,
That passes understanding.
A peace that is too rich and dense for words.
In His tenderness.
Who you really are.
In those moments
Of Kairos
Time set apart from time,
Within time,
But outside of time.

Quiet Hearts

quiet hearts.jpg

From The Heart of Abba Today

Quiet Hearts,
Willingly made quiet.
Trusting His love.
Inviting God Himself to calm,
Quiet and still us.

So that we can hear from him.

In hearing, we receive peace,
And strength to go forth.

In quieting our hearts,
We enter the Shalom of God.

We are invited to enter the REST of God. When we are troubled, or in any grief or sorrow we are instructed to “be still” and know. (Psalm 46:10) We are invited to come to him whenever we are burdened or weary (Matthew 11:28). And yes, just like the Israelites so long ago, we don’t. We worry. We try “this and that” and everything else BUT resting in and on God. How sad.

Jesus during His final week on earth went about loving others, healing, teaching, fellowshipping. He knew what was coming but he had a quiet heart.

Isaiah 30:15 For thus says the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall you be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: but you would not.
NLT This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: “Only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength. But you would have none of it.
God’s Word This is what the Almighty LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: You can be saved by returning to me. You can have rest. You can be strong by being quiet and by trusting me. But you don’t want that.

1 Peter 3:4(AMP) But let it be the inward adorning and beauty of the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible and unfading charm of a gentle and peaceful spirit, which [is not anxious or wrought up, but] is very precious in the sight of God.

Psalm 131:2 Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul;
Like a weaned child [resting] with his mother,
My soul is like a weaned child within me [composed and freed from discontent].

via Daily Prompt: Tenacious

Do you want to know what tenacious is?

God is Tenacious. His love is NEVER ending and remains directed toward each of us no matter what we do or don’t do.

When a dog has a bone, that dog is tenacious to hold on to it.

Clinging tightly

Defensive of it

Focused upon it

Excluding all else

A “beggar lice” is tenacious too. Those are the little weed-seeds that stick on our clothes.

It was created to be tenacious…that is LIFE (survival) for that particular weed.

We can CHOOSE to be tenacious in clinging to God for we can trust that His love is tenacious. And as we cling and/or seek God tenaciously, which by the way we were created to do…we will find LIFE.

No Need to “get it right”….

john 17-13.jpg

From The Heart Of Abba
You do not have to measure up or get it right for me to love you.
When I stand at the door and knock I offer to you a full measure of My love.
Love so rich so do deep so full that it will overshadow and meet every need you have.
Every longing of your heart will be satisfied in the ocean and by the ocean of My love.
My love it’s never stingy.
I offer a full measure.
It cannot be earned.
It can only be received.
In the fullness of time I went to the cross.
“It” was finished before creation began.
I knew that there would be a cross.
A cross for you in order that you might receive the fullness of My love.
When I say come to Me all you who are burdened and heavy laden,
I am inviting you to come and lift up that basket full of too much stuff, too many attempts to “get it right”, or do it on your own.
I am inviting you to pour that out and hold up an empty basket to be filled with the fullness of Who I am.
Note: when we do that in part we get HOPE and PEACE as well as JOY and LOVE. Forever, unconditionally.
Verses to ponder: Matthew 11:28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
John 1:12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God–
Romans 15:29 I know that when I come to you, I will come in the full measure of the blessing of Christ.
John 17:13 “I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them.
John 19:13 When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Tenderness of God

From The Heart Of Abba

I wanted to share something with you…The world can be an unfriendly place, and yet at the same time it is a beautiful wondrous place. God created it after all. Life can be difficult but even during the most difficult times there are beautiful wonderful “heart” moments with our Abba who is always with us.

God’s heart is always tender, loving and compassionate toward us, His children.
Yesterday I was just hanging out and these words began to speak to my heart.

Love of God,
The Love that IS GOD…
Drawing us,
Inviting us,
Bidding us,
To come deeper.

Deeper into communion with Him.
Into that holy place,
Where all else fades away,
And time as we know it,
Ceases to exist,
For that time.
In that time,
Of resting in/on His love

Be washed in the tenderness of God.
Be flooded by the tenderness of God.
Be overshadowed with the tenderness of God.

The tenderness of God is strong never weak.

Verses to ponder:
Psalm 145:9 KJV The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works. Most translations translate “tender mercies” to “compassion”.

Psalm 100:5 For the LORD is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting And His faithfulness to all generations.

Psalm 136:1 Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good, For His lovingkindness is everlasting.

Luke 1:78 Because of the tender mercy of our God, With which the Sunrise from on high will visit us….

Isa 30:18 Therefore the LORD longs to be gracious to you, And therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you For the LORD is a God of justice; How blessed are all those who long for Him.
Nahum 1:7 The LORD is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble, And He knows those who take refuge in Him.

2nd Cor. 1:3-4 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God”.

Psalm 145:18 “The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth”

Isa 54:10 “For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake, But My lovingkindness will not be removed from you, And My covenant of peace will not be shaken,” Says the LORD who has compassion on you.
