Awaken My Heart To Shalom

From The Heart of Abba

Awaken, My heart, To Shalom

Shalom Shalom
Shalom my heart
Awaken to Shalom

Shalom Shalom
Shalom my heart
Awakened by Shalom

Shalom Shalom
Shalom my heart
Awaken in Shalom

The peace of God,
Gentle love filled peace,
Awakens my heart
To Shalom.

(We were created by Shalom,
To live in Shalom.
Shalom of body, soul, mind.)

Note:  Biblical meaning of Shalom: a Hebrew word meaning peace, harmony, wholeness, completeness, prosperity, welfare and tranquility and can be used idiomatically to mean both hello and goodbye.

Enough For All We Need

i am that i am.jpg

From the Heart of Abba Today:
I AM is with you
In sorrowful times,
I am “I AM”.
In joyful times,
I am “ I AM”.
In every season of life,
I am “I AM”.
Rest in the “I AMness” of God.
You are safe because,
I am “I AM”.
No matter what.
( A lot of people I know are going through difficult times, this is a good reminder that God said he is “I AM” and “I AM” is enough.

psalm 31-14.jpg

From The Heart of Abba Today:
Abba can you explain hope again?
Hope is a person.
Hope is a position.
Hope is the glue,
That holds your life together.
You think, you have no hope,
Yet each time you “live and move and have your being in Me”,
You are living in Hope.
Hope truly is the sure and certain knowing,
That no matter what life brings,
Or doesn’t bring,
You are safe .
Safe to live and move and “be” in My Love.
So Hope is the anchor.
Which holds life steady,
During every single storm.
Verses to ponder:
Hebrews 6 18That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold on the hope set before us: 19Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters into that within the veil; 20Where the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
Psalm 62:5 My soul, wait in silence for God only, For my hope is from Him.
Psalm 27:14 Wait for the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the LORD.
Psalm 31:14 Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all you that hope in the LORD.
Psalm 40:1 I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined to me, and heard my cry.
Psalm 130:5 I wait for the LORD, my soul does wait, and in his word do I hope.

Psalm 31-15a….jpg

From the Heart of Abba
Endless …
Flowing fast,
Moving slow!

You wake up one day,
Wondering where did it go?

Where is he?
Where is she?
Who is that (in the mirrow)?
Who am I?

Use the moments wisely.

Cherish the moments,
Spent with those you love.

Babies grow up.
People die.
Relationships ebb and flow.

But each new day is chock full of moments.
Spend the moments well .
Each one is a gift.

Verses to ponder:
Psalm 31:15a… My times are in your hands…

Psalm 90:12 Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

Eph 5:15-17 15 Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.

Proverbs 6:6-8 6 Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! 7 It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, 8 yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest

James 4:13-15 13 Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” 14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. 15 Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.”

Alpine Park…love the Cypress Trees there… they look dead…but many have tiny green leaves coming back…even the dead ones serve a purpose. The water looks brown from the tannic acid, and yet at the same time some how it is crystal clear. You can see the bottom clearly. And then that same water in the distance reflects the sky and appears blue. Makes no sense to me. There are dead trees and other foliage all over the place in the woods…. and yet new life is springing forth. Could it be the same for seasons of our lives? LIFE springing forth as time marches on?

Happy Valentine’s Day

everlasting love.jpg

Today is Valentine’s Day.
For you it may be a fantabulous fun filled day!
Full of candy and flowers and special times.
Or it may be a day fraught with memories,
Some lovely, some funny, some sorrowful.
But for each of us, there is a reminder from
The Heart of Abba,
He has LOVED us with an EVERLASTING love.
I love this picture. In town, the Maple trees are blooming. Life is springing forth once again from branches that have been dormant for a time. The branches looked dead, but we knew they were not.
The English poet Alexander Pope wrote, “Hope springs eternal in the human breast: Man never is, but always to be blest.”
May today be a day of Hope 🙂 And LOVE and JOY and PEACE
HAPPY Valentine’s Day.

For many of us, the church season leading up to Christmas is called “Advent”. It is a time to remember not just the first Coming of Jesus but also that He is God. He has come, He will come and He is continually coming (present).
In the beginning Elohim, created the heavens and the earth. But the beginning was not really the beginning for “I AM” aka God has always been.

The basic meaning behind the name Elohim is one of strength or power of effect. Elohim is the infinite, all-powerful God who shows by His works that He is the creator, sustainer, and supreme judge of the world. “Bring to an end the violence of the wicked and make the righteous secure—you, the righteous [Elohim] who probes minds and hearts” (Psalm 7:9). (

I love remembering that God, (Elohim, “I AM”) came as Emmanuel, a baby to grow and then to die in order that we could have his very present help during every single time of need. “I AM” is ALL we need and not only that He is also Emmanuel, God With Us.

In church Sunday we were singing a song with Keep Watch, Take Heart and I knew I would make this poster. And that since I am very blessed to live in Florida, it would have the beach as a background.
Remember God said to the sea, “This far and no further”? (Job 38:11). That difficult thing in our life has been told, “this far and NO further” too. And we also have Emmanuel with us.

From the Heart of God:
The tide comes in.
The tide goes out.
The sun rises.
The sun sets.

People enter and exit your life.
Day follows day.
And through it all,
I remain steadfast.

My love for you never waxes or wanes.
It is constant and unchanging.

When everything is right in your life,
I am there.
When nothing is right,
I am still there.

Before time was, I AM.
I am the same, yesterday-today-and-tomorrow.
You can count on Me.

In a world where so much is unstable
I truly am both your Anchor and your Rock.

This was written originally 4 years ago.

I have seen, walked with my husband during his dying season (which began around the time of this “word” and continued for 3 years.) Day did follow day. He did die. Things went from hard to so hard and yet the LORD did remain STEADFAST. He was there when nothing (or almost nothing) felt right in my life. The world around us is still unstable (even more so). Just glance at the news.

But we can be sure that our GOD is going to remain the same, yesterday today and tomorrow. Forever STEADFAST.

As We Age (SMILE)

One of the poignant things about aging is realizing those heart longings for what was and/or what never may be.

Perhaps it begins at birth, with a longing for the weightlessness  and provision of the womb.
That I don’t know.
The next could be finding out Santa isn’t real. What a shock that is.
Or perhaps it occurs when a little child enters school and no longer drifts through each day in a sort of seamless timelessness.
I don’t know.

This year it becomes so very real to me once again that people are only for a season.
Looking back through the years to remember those who once lived here on earth with us and were a part of our lives.
Remembering traditions that once were and no longer exist because seasons have changed.
So many people out there feeling alone during the time that begins with Thanksgiving and ends after the New Year.

There is a verse I love. Isaiah 46:4:
even to your old age I am he,
and to gray hairs I will carry you.
I have made, and I will bear;
I will carry and will save.

One thing is sure for those of us who belong to Jesus.
We know the One who knit us in the womb.
Who created us because He desires us and had good plans for us.
The One who will never forsake us.
And the One who will greet us with open arms when our time on earth is done.

Cherish those you love. They may no longer be part of your life one day. We never know if “this moment” will be our (or their) last moment.

It could be as simple the last sticky little boy hug calling you Daddy before he grows up and Daddy becomes Dad. Or the last snuggle in the couch before he becomes too old.
Or as complex as death or a graduation or a cross country move.

God is always and forever “I AM” and Emmanuel.

Psalm 139:13& 16 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Deuteronomy 31:8 The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
John 14:2-3 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

God Cares

This is amazing. Four years ago I wrote this and made this poster. That was when my husband was becoming so ill and I was so overwhelmed. God did do everything He said he would do. I did learn to “cast my cares”. Now these pop up in my news feed as we do this Bible study.
From the Heart of ABBA:

Each of your days,
Every day of your life,
You ARE held in the palm of My hand.

Nothing can happen that is devoid of My love.
You are an overcomer,
Not by your strength,
But by My power
Because you ARE mine.

When thoughts come,
Filter them through My Word,
My very Person.
See if they line up with TRUTH.
If they do dwell on them,
If they do not CAST them aside.

I am GOOD.
I am LOVE.
All you need,
All you ever needed and all you ever will need,
Is yours because you are MINE.
