Aloneness

neveralone

Beloved
Aloneness is a feeling,
And a condition.

In truth at the deepest core
All My children are alone.

Except for one thing,
Those who ARE My children,
Are never really alone.

I come,
My Spirit dwells,
Within that place of aloneness.

It is a holy place,
Where, when opened to Me
Your heart receives,
The deepest acceptance,
Love and,
Belonging,
That is possible to man.

I am with you in the alone times,
In the alone feeling,
And in the place of “aloneness”.

Rhythms of Grace….Abiding

From The Heart of Abba:

There is a space,
A place,
A time,
Where the “not-yet”,
Is becoming real.

It can be a turbulent place,
Or a gentle place.

You may want to rush through it,
Go around it,
Or even avoid it entirely.

But if you stop,
Pause,
Breathe,
And linger,
With God,
You will discover that the “not quite yet” ,
Is a holy place.

The invitation is to abide,
In the presence of God,
While He orders,
And re-orders,
The circumstances of our lives.

God Cares

This is amazing. Four years ago I wrote this and made this poster. That was when my husband was becoming so ill and I was so overwhelmed. God did do everything He said he would do. I did learn to “cast my cares”. Now these pop up in my news feed as we do this Bible study.
From the Heart of ABBA:

Beloved,
Each of your days,
Every day of your life,
You ARE held in the palm of My hand.

Nothing can happen that is devoid of My love.
You are an overcomer,
Not by your strength,
But by My power
Because you ARE mine.

When thoughts come,
Filter them through My Word,
My very Person.
See if they line up with TRUTH.
If they do dwell on them,
If they do not CAST them aside.

I am GOOD.
I am LOVE.
I am PROVISION.
All you need,
All you ever needed and all you ever will need,
Is yours because you are MINE.

Rest In His Love

rockswater.jpg

From The Heart of Abba Today:

Beloved
See those rocks?
The water is washing them.
The water is revealing their hidden beauty.
The water is changing them over time,
Smoothing and polishing them.

I am like that beautiful, dangerous, flowing mountain water.
You are like a rock.

As you submit to My love,
You will be changed, restored, polished,
Both by and in My love.

Just like those rocks remain both changed and unchanged,
So also does the “you” I created become both changed and remain true during your life.

You are uniquely created and designed by Me.
The external will change. Your perception will change. But you, the you I created, will always remain.

Sometimes that process may seem difficult.

In a mountain stream the water level sometimes rises and simply covers the rocks. From the surface all appears gentle and smooth.

Other times, when the water level is just right, one can see white water—even rapids.

At times a portion of the rock is out of the water.

It is always the same rock.

Life in Me is similar. I am Living Water. I control the depth.
All that I do is part of My Love for I am LOVE.

You are being changed and restored.
All of life is being used by Me to reveal the true you.
The one I created.

Beloved, REST in My LOVE.

Gift of God

From The Heart of Abba Today:

I had been remembering how much I loved day lilies in my early adulthood.

On an emotionally difficult day, while exercising in the pool, I looked and God had sent me a blooming day lily right in my flowerbed.

He was gracious enough to draw my attention to it.

You know a day lily only blooms for ONE day.
So in order for me to experience it, Abba arranged a whole bunch of things.

Surely He is El Roi. God who sees and cares and knows.

What is your Abba sending your way today? May we all have eyes to see…

Happy Blessed Mother’s Day

mother's day.jpg

From The Heart of Abba

For those without a mother,
For those whose children are far away,
Or those who have no children,
For those who long or longed for a child,
For those who are in sorrow for a mother
Who has gone before, or
Even worse a child who has died,
For those who are separated from family,
For those who may feel lost or forlorn,
For those for whom this weekend may be hard,

May the LORD,
Who is the GOD of ALL COMFORT,
Draw your heart close to his.

May the God of ALL PEACE gather you under His Wings.

May the Spirit,
Who continually flows to you and through you,
Touch you with healing,
To restore to you,
ALL that is missing,
Or feels like it is missing in your life.

God has promised to meet all our needs.
This weekend may be hard for you,
In small ways or what feels like insurmountable ways.
But God….
Has also promised to make all things work to our good.

So for the lost,
The lonely,
The grieving ones,

Or any hidden areas where we feel that way
In our own heart for whatever reason,

May this be a weekend where your heart,
Your mind,
Your body,
Your soul and
Your spirit have a FRESH encounter with LOVE aka Jesus.

Faith

faith-sustains-us-in-the-midst-of-pain10410419_725764077519086_791247567616717521_n

I heard this statement at a meeting I was attending and LOVED it because it is so TRUE: Faith sustains us in the midst of pain BUT faith does not remove our pain (or grief). We need to go through the grief.

Saturday a friend and I were out and about and took this photo of the beach at North Beach. It is still banged up from the hurricane, but in a sense even more enthrallingly beautiful. There was a dark shadow of a truck parked there which we both thought marred the shot…in retrospect even the shadow adds depth to the meaning.

For those who follow the Way of Jesus, broken leads to beautiful.

Jesus was BROKEN for us and that was beautiful. Isaiah says he was a man of sorrow…in order to bear our sorrow/grief.

Fun to ponder. Brokenness leads to wholeness which is even more whole than before broken.

Isaiah 53:3-5 He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.

When Your Heart Screams, “I Can’t”

psalm 61-2

My heart screams, “I can’t”
My emotions swirl.
My mind does not know or understand.

And yet,
Deeper than any of that,
I know,
Emmanuel is and will be
With me.

Life IS too much at times.
No!
A certain situation is too much,
All the time.

But we all will have those times,
The Instruction Book,
Tells us what to do.
Call on the LORD.

He, Who hears our heart’s cry,
Even when we have no words,
Hears and comes with healing,
Comfort,
Love and
Presence.

Psalm 18:6 In my distress I called upon the LORD; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears.
Isaiah 65:24 Before they call I will answer; while they are yet speaking I will hear.
Psalm 61:2 From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

Light

abbaelohimimmanuel

From The Heart of Abba

I am your Father.
I am Elohim, who created you
I am Emmanuel, God with you
I am walking with you and I will walk with you.
You may at times feel unseen and
like you do not matter.
Not so.
I am El Roi, your God who sees, cares and is with you in all times and for all time.

Yesterday at church. I think the reading was Isaiah 43 and the phrase from it was….forget the former things…I am not sure what the reading was but Isaiah 43:18 does say, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.” Verse 19a says, “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?”

I like the photo for the names of God. It is dark in places and at the top left there is one of those prism sort of rainbow things but on the bottom right there is LIGHT and the light causes the other parts. If there was no light the dark would just be black and kind of invisible. If there was no light that prism would not be there. Same for us. Same for me. Yes there are difficult things but the LIGHT is there and often others can see the Light of Christ shining in us even when we can’t.
