When we consider the beauty of the world God created for us to dwell in, our souls begin to sing.
What places bring your heart into peace and calm and joy?
Have you experienced the compassion of God? Do you NEED to experience His loving compassion?
He is compassionate. Slow to anger and abounding in grace. And because he is, especially once we have experienced God as El Rachum, we then will find it normal to show compassion to others. Not always easy but the norm.
Exodus 33:19 And the LORD said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the LORD, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
Isaiah 54:10 For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,” says the LORD, who has compassion on you.
Colossians 3:12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
From the Heart of Abba
Hear the hearts.
Listen beyond the words,
And hear….. truly hear,
See the hearts.
Look past the exterior,
And see …..truly see,
Smell and taste the aroma,
Of “Christ in me”,
Open your senses to go past the exterior,
To the hidden hearts.
Speak truth with love,
To love the hearts,
Seeing Me within each one,
For I created each heart
Touch each heart,
With the touch of My Love,
So the hearts will open,
To receive Life.
YOU (we) are LOVED by God.
There is a PEACE that is found only in Messiah Jesus.
It can be our WAY of life.
Walking through life,
The LOVE of God.
Lent Day 10
Sometimes in the natural a situation may be devoid of hope. Or we feel like it is and we can lose hope or become hopeless. Or we THINK we are or it is.
But the truth is Hope is found in the person of Jesus the Messiah. The One who knew us before we were formed in our mother’s womb AND the One who has been and will be with us all the days of our lives.
And our life does not only consist of our time on earth. We are eternal and will simply pass from this life to the final eternal place. Kind of like a little baby leaving the womb.
Hope is a PERSON. He will NEVER abandon us, not for a single second.
Be encouraged this day in/through/by the LOVE of God.
From The Heart of Abba Today:
When your I can’t feels bigger
Than your capacity to cope
That is a place where I
Enter and enable.
The embracing of My embrace
Enables My children to endure
That which in the natural is
Enter and remain in My love
It is the sure and certain reality
In a world that is chock full
Of insecurity and false reality.
Someone prayed Isaiah 41:10 for me today. Or someone mentioned it and I looked it up. It seemed to fit with this Word as well. When we remember the Truth, as described in this passage we will discover a serenity that does not depend on outward circumstances of life.
Isa 41:10 Don’t panic. I’m with you.
There’s no need to fear for I’m your God.
I’ll give you strength. I’ll help you.
I’ll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you.
So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
‘Do not fear [anything], for I am with you;
Do not be afraid, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, be assured I will help you;
I will certainly take hold of you with My righteous right hand [a hand of justice, of power, of victory, of salvation].’
Lent day 9
Exodus 33:14 My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.
God was giving Moses directions on where he was to go and what he was to tell the people. No one was actually happy or excited including Moses. In fact they were mourning they were so upset.
Don’t we all at times have situations that don’t go as we wish they would? We know God is able. We know God could fix things for us in the exact way we want Him to fix them.
But sometimes, quite often in my own life and probably in yours as well, God has a different plan.
But there is one thing we can count on….it is the same promise God gave Moses and the Hebrew people….God and His Presence WILL GO WITH US and if we can access it, He will also send moments of REST.
The verse in Amplified version says, “And the Lord said, “My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest [by bringing you and the people into the promised land].”
What is our eternal Promised Land? We all know, we who believe in Jesus, where we will end up there. But sometimes, the journey is difficult.
Be at/in Peace today. The Prince of Peace is our Shalom and He is Emmanuel, God with us. Now and forever.
Lenten Memories Day 6
Sometimes life or at least moments of life are difficult. Often we are tempted to wonder, “why?”. The only thing we can do is to CHOOSE to TRUST that God, who is both “I AM” and Emmanuel loves us and has a reason.
There is a hauntingly lovely portion of Scripture found in Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.
Lenten Memories Day 7:
We all go through moments and seasons that cause us to need help of some sort.
Several people I know are dealing with difficult situations this week. I woke up remembering that verse that says “God is near to the brokenhearted.” I had to search for where it was. One place is Psalm 34 which has several great reminders in it.
Therefore today there are two pictures.
May our hearts be drawn close to the One who is El Roi and indeed does see, and care what we are going through. May we “taste” of His goodness today and receive the comfort He has for each of us.
