Christmas 2018

As we celebrate Christmas, may we remember the Hope we were offered that first Christmas when a tiny baby was born from the Virgin Mary. Fully God and fully man, but without a sin nature. Holy.

Our hope is not the same as others. It is based on a Living Lord, who has promised NEVER to abandon us. No matter what is going on, (or isn’t going as we wish it was), in our lives we have this Hope that God is Emmanuel and will walk with us. Always. Forever. No matter what.

1 Peter 1:3-6

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

psalm 31-14.jpg

From The Heart of Abba Today:
Abba can you explain hope again?
Hope is a person.
Hope is a position.
Hope is the glue,
That holds your life together.
You think, you have no hope,
Yet each time you “live and move and have your being in Me”,
You are living in Hope.
Hope truly is the sure and certain knowing,
That no matter what life brings,
Or doesn’t bring,
You are safe .
Safe to live and move and “be” in My Love.
So Hope is the anchor.
Which holds life steady,
During every single storm.
Verses to ponder:
Hebrews 6 18That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold on the hope set before us: 19Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters into that within the veil; 20Where the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
Psalm 62:5 My soul, wait in silence for God only, For my hope is from Him.
Psalm 27:14 Wait for the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the LORD.
Psalm 31:14 Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all you that hope in the LORD.
Psalm 40:1 I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined to me, and heard my cry.
Psalm 130:5 I wait for the LORD, my soul does wait, and in his word do I hope.

Changing the “W” in we to “M” in Me

We to Me.jpg

I became a widow about 10 months ago after a time of caregiving. It has been a process of changing from being a “we” to being a “me.

Sometimes I have felt very alone but the one constant has been God. He has led me step by step into a new season of life. This is for anyone who has lost a spouse, a parent, a child, a sibling. In that relationship, the “we” is gone but we cling to the ONE “we” that will never end. God is our forever present Emmanuel.

Since this is a different post, I want to say thank you to my brothers and their wives who have helped me in ways they don’t know and also some dear friends who have walked with me. And my sons, their wives and grandsons.

God is GOOD and I have decided to look forward to whatever good gifts He will send my way during this season of my life.

Next Moments of Life

From The Heart of Abba

Isaiah 46:4 Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.

We may not know what our next moment will hold. But we DO KNOW who will be holding us in our next moment.

You may indeed feel overwhelmed
But you shall not BE overwhelmed

I am with you
I do not abandon you

Not when you feel distant
Not when you feel overwhelmed
Not when those pesky emotions
Pop out like a jack in the box
Not when you are falling apart
Or withdrawn
Or being sucked at by that vortex

I AM is still Emmanuel
In every situation of your life
Past present and future
I AM has always and forever will be

Beloved that does not depend on who you are
Nor choices you make
Nor what any other may think, say or do
It DOES totally depend
On the sure and certain truth
That I AM who I am
I will do as I say I will do

Beloved you belong to Me
And I AM all you need

Even when it does not seem true
I am Still I AM

When Life Is Too Hard

zech 4-6b

From the Heart of Abba
In response to, “It’s too hard for me”.
It is too hard for you.
And you don’t know how,
That is true,
But it is not too hard for Me.
And I do know what to do.
When you call out to Me,
I hear.
I come.
I enable you,
To draw near to Me.
In Me, you can do all things.
Even this.
The night does come,
But so does the day.
I am the LORD,
As well as your Comfort,
In the night and the day.

God Will Supply

god supply need

From The Heart of Abba Today:

I am God With You.
No matter what is going on,

When your storm feels so very big,
I am in the midst of it with you.

When life is calm and simple,
I am there with you.

It matters not the season of life, or the circumstances surrounding you.
Your only task is to enter My Presence.

The invitation is to come,
Just as you are,
In order to receive all you need,
In every moment of life.

Truly, Beloved, it is My desire,
To supply ALL your needs,
Your true heart needs,
From My storehouse of Glory.

Elohim, Creator God LOVES You

From The Heart of Abba Today:

You ARE mine.
I do LOVE you with an everlasting, unending, unconditional love.

Lean on Me,
Crawl in My lap,
Look for Me and
Look to Me.

As you live in that manner,
You will have all you need,
In every next moment of life.

Remember I AM is present in EVERY MOMENT, past present and future.
And I AM has all you need in each and every moment.
No matter what.
I am Elohim, Creator and nothing is impossible for Me.
When the Psalmist cried out:
“CREATE in me a pure heart, Oh God, and renew a steadfast spirit”,
He was speaking from his heart to the heart of Elohim (Creator).

Beloved, when life is too much, that is what I invite you to do also.
Call out to Me, the One who created you and I WILL hear and answer..

Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a right and steadfast spirit within me.

1 John 5:14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

Just Trust God

just trust God

From The Heart of Abba Today:

There is no place you go,
That is devoid of My presence.

I will guide you.
I will lead you.
I will enable you.

Your task is to simply watch for Me,
To lean on Me,
To trust Me,
To trust that whatever you need, I have it,
To trust that My desire is to give you exactly what you need,
In any given moment.

Because I love you and I am your Abba.

Note: We all have hard things in our lives. Sometimes we have a season that is hard. But on the hard days AND the easy days, we have the LORD on our side. He is WITH us, loving us.

Let God

From the Heart of Abba Today:

I love you.
I have loved you.
I am loving you.
I will always love you.

You are growing in your love for and trust of Me…

When My people,
Who are called by My name,
(Which means corporately but also as individuals)
Turn to Me,
Acknowledge… as in seek Me,
For/in all their ways.

Then you/they will be set free.
Free from bondage to what others,
Think, say, feel or do to you.

You be set from habitual ways of,
Thinking, doing and reacting to circumstances of life.

Come to Me.
Continue to come to Me.

Bring to Me ,
ALL that is you,
Every concern, care, burden, success and failure.

Allow me to BE your Hope,
As well to bring you,
Into a lifestyle of hope.

Hope that come from knowing that:
I love you.
I have loved you.
I am loving you.
I will always love you.

“Let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think, and you will know how pleased God is with his will for you and what God wants you to do.” Romans 12:2 NLT.

“But now, says the Lord, he who created you…who formed you:
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by name; you are mine.”
Isaiah 43:1

The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness. Jer. 31:3

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
