What a Season

From the Heart of Abba

 

Beloved, when the world around you is unstable remember that “I AM” is your stability.

 

Remember that “I AM” is your Refuge,

your Defender, your Hope and your Shelter.

 

When storms of life come, be they natural or spiritual, know that “I AM” is always and forever Emmanuel.

 

When your heart, or your mind, or your emotions are becoming overwhelmed, draw near to Me and you will find all you need.

 

“I AM” is all you need, past, present and future.

Psalm 18:2

The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer. My God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

 

Deuteronomy 4:29

But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

 

Psalm 61:1-4

Hear my cry, O God;

Attend to my prayer.

Beloved,
Do you believe Me,
When I say ALL things work for good?
Do you trust Me,
When I ask you to praise Me,
In ALL circumstances?

Do you remember My LOVE?
That I am the giver of GOOD gifts?
That anything I allow will benefit you and others?

I carry your heart in the palm of My hand.
I knew ahead of time as I always do,
What each moment of every day will bring.

Your heart is safe in My love.
Your tears are precious.
Because YOU are precious.
Do not fear the arrows that come your way.
They are but vapors in the mist.

I send the wind,
I am Life and Hope and Peace and JOY,

Lent 39: Ripples

Lent 39: Ripples

There were BIG forever ripples as a result of that first “Good Friday”.

And every time we face a challenge of life WITH Abba, there are ripples.

For some this season may be pure JOY gathering with family and friends and reJOYcing. For others it may be painful or lonely.

But if/as/when we celebrated the HOPE of RESURRECTION there will be RIPPLES.

There was a boat passing by earlier. We can no longer see the boat but the ripples still arrive. Sometimes they are gentle and other times violent but ripples always come after a boat passes. As , Newton’s third law states: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

2 Corinthians 12:9a&10b

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” For when I am weak, then I am strong.

2 Corinthhians 1:3-4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God

 

Lent 37 TRUST

Lent 37

 

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be FRIGHTENED, and do not be DiSMAYED, for the Lord your God is WITH you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

 

Wherever we go…everywhere we go…every moment of every season….including whatever “moments” this day brings us. Happy moments, Joy moments and scary or sad ones as well.

 

We, me and the Littles, were playing here the other day. Looking for a thought for today I saw this picture and remembered Joshua 1:9

Don’t Worry

From The Heart of Abba:

 

Beloved, speak truth and Truth.

Speok love and Love.

 

Invite My Spirit to direct your speech.

And even your silent speech (thoughts).

 

Each time a thought arises,

Filter it.

 

Not by the filter of your perception,

Rather filter every single thought

Using the filter of My Word

And My Love.

The Sun Always Rises

The sun always rises and brings a fresh day.
It has done so every single day every since God created it and placed it in the heavens.
Even on the darkest most dreary day, we have evidence that the sun is there.

God said his mercies are new every morning. One of His names is Faithful and True.

The waves on the shore ebb and flow. They have every single day since God spoke the seas into being.

The sound, sight and smell of the beach brings comfort to our soul and our heart and awakens our spirit to peace.

Another of God’s names is Sar Shalom, Prince of Peace.

God’s Word is eternal. It delights our soul and brings peace. The truth and comfort found there is eternal.

Psalm 84:11
For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Isaiah 9:6
“For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us;
And the government will rest on His shoulders;
And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Eternal Father, Prince of Peace”

Lamentations 3:22-23
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;[a]
his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.

Revelation 19:11

REST For Your Soul

Pondering and From The Heart of Abba

When you see life (or events of life) with spiritual eyes,
Then you are seeing with the eyes of your heart,
That Jesus gave you or awakened in you.

You can only do that to the extent that your heart is surrendered to and enmeshed with/in Jesus.
Holy Spirit awakens the spiritual which then takes the natural and integrates it (both you as a person and the natural gifts) into a spiritual dimension/reality.

Often we do not “see” or understand what on earth is going on around us. We can not see how any possible goodness could come out of it. But God has promised good to those who love Him and are called according to His name. (Romans 8:28)
So Lord, help us to see the bigger picture and not become bogged down in “stuff”. Help us to remember “perspective” how things look bigger when we are close to them, that even an ant can appear huge if it is fills our line of vision. Help us to see with eyes of hope.

Jeremiah 31:25
for I will refresh the weary soul and replenish all who are weak.”
Matthew 11:28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Isaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.

Falling Apart Seasons

When your world is falling apart,
Or has already fallen apart,
And you don’t think you know the way,
Remember, “I AM” is THE Way.

Beloved “I AM” is with you.
I have promised never to leave you,
Or forsake you.

My presence with you,
Is not contingent on your ability,
To perceive or be aware of Me,
In any given moment.

I have said that “I AM” is Emmanuel.
(I AM is all you need and
Emmaneul is literally God With Us).

When you feel alone,
Even abandoned,
Lost or floundering,
And you do not know,
The next step much less
“The way”,
Remember one thing.
You ARE loved by “I AM”.

Life may not feel OK,
YOU may not feel OK,
In fact, in truth,
Many things may not be OK,
In your life.

But “I AM”, who is God With You,
Has told you that,
In all things you are more than a conqueror
In Christ Jesus.

And Beloved, that remains true,
Even when it seems not so.
Even when you can not sleep.
Even when you feel desperately alone,
Or lost or floundering in your faith.

Rest yourself,
All that is you,
In All that is “I AM”.
Including your inability
TO rest.

The photo is of a dock near my house which was destroyed during a hurricane 2 years ago. Other places have been restored but this one has not been yet. Often events happen and our lives are forever changed. But restoration will come. Not to how things were but perhaps to something even better in it’s own way.

Safe in/with Abba’s Love

I was working on some couplets I got from a little book by Sylvia Gunter called Nuggets from Revealing The Treasures.
One of them was: He is everlasting. Isaiah 40:28
I am eternally safe. Philippians 1:6

He is everlasting. Isaiah 40:28 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.

Dodi Note: God is everlasting, eternal, forever. God created the earth and all else that exists. God does not get tired, and even better his UNDERSTANDING is unsearchable.

Think about it. God formed us in our mother’s womb. But even before that God ordained all the days of our life for us before even one of them came to be. We are enscribed on the very palm of His hand and kept as the apple of his eye. Do you think he cares about us? Intimately? Does he understand why we do the silly things we do? I believe he does. And that is why he loves us. When a small child is tired and cranky a good parent tends to the child’s true need. They do not discipline the child for being tired and cranky. (Well some parents do, but a wise loving parent would not). I beleive God is the same with our pecularities or even our tantrums. He knows what wounded us. He knows what areas of our heart, mind, soul, body need healing. So he acts vs reacts when we have a melt down or even make a very poor choice.

Formed us in the womb: Jer. 1:5a “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
All days ordained for me: Psalm 139:16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.
Engraved us in the palm of His hand: Isaiah 49:16
Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me.
Holds us as the “apple of his eye”. That phrase refers to being very close to someone and being so close you can see your reflection in the pupil of their eye. WoW! Right? God is really up close, personal and hence available to us.
Psalm 17:8 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Deuteronomy 32:10
“He found him in a desert land, And in the howling waste of a wilderness; He encircled him, He cared for him, He guarded him as the pupil of His eye.
And just because I love it: Psalm 36:7
How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! And the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.

 

Enough For All We Need

From the Heart of Abba Today:

Beloved

I AM is with you

In sorrowful times,

I am “I AM”.

 

In joyful times,

I am “ I AM”.

 

In every season of life,

I am “I AM”.

 

Rest in the “I AMness” of God.

 

You are safe because,

I am “I AM”.

No matter what.

( A lot of people I know are going through difficult times, this is a good reminder that God said he is “I AM” and “I AM” is enough.
