REST For RESToration

From The Heart Of Abba Today

I invite you to REST

For RESTORATION,

Not as an additional 

Item on your to-do list.

 

Just as the cells in your body,

Are restored each day,

So also does your

Emotional and Spiritual self,

Need RESTORATION,

Which can only happen,

In a state (time) of,

SHALOM-REST.

 

Cells restore continually,

During the day and night.

 

Emotional and Spiritual REST

Is also VITAL 

In an ongoing fashion.

It happens,

As you PAUSE to,

INTENTIONALLY ENTER,

My REST.

 

(This can become a normal state or way of being over time. It can become something that happens without our awareness, but during certain times, we need to strive (in a way) to ENTER HIS REST.)

 

Heb 4:10-11 For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His. 11Therefore let us be diligent to enter that rest, so that no one will fall, through following the same example of disobedience.

Psalm 51:12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.

Isa 28:12 to whom he said, “This is the resting place, let the weary rest”; and, “This is the place of repose”– but they would not listen.

 

Heb 4:11 Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it.

Matthew 11:28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Jer 31:12 They will come and shout for joy on the heights of Zion; they will rejoice in the bounty of the LORD– the grain, the new wine and the olive oil, the young of the flocks and herds. They will be like a well-watered garden, and they will sorrow no more

 

PEACE and QUIETNESS

From The Heart of Abba Today

Peace and quietness,

Peace and quietness

Are the natural state,

When your heart is at rest.

 

Your heart is at rest,

Whenever you are,

Trusting, leaning and relying on Me.

You are able to receive from Me

Whenever you make a conscious effort

To be intentional in coming to Me.

 

Come to Me, Beloved.

Come agitated.

Come when you feel weak,

Or out of control,

Or needy.

 

The invitation to come and

Simply “be” with Me,

Is an invitation that is also,

In a sense a command. 

 

You are invited and encouraged,

To come and spend a daily time,

Allowing your heart to 

Listen to/for My heart.

 

My heart’s desire is 

To pour into your heart,

All that you will need,

For that moment as well as

Each moment of every day.

 

This coming is not just a once a day invitation,

It is for every moment of every day,

For the rest of your life.

 

Whenever you begin to feel unrest,

Pause right where you are and call My Name.

In the instant of calling,

You will know,

That I am right there with you.

 

Then you heart will know it’s resting place,

Which is to be gently held safe and secure,

In My loving care for you.

 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 2 Peter 1:2-3

For thus said the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel, “In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.” Isa 30:15a (the rest says, “But your were unwilling.”

 

Psalm 116:7 Return to your rest, my soul, for the LORD has been good to you.

Isa 28:12 to whom he said, “This is the resting place, let the weary rest”; and, “This is the place of repose”– but they would not listen.

Psalm 131:2 Surely I have composed and quieted my soul; Like a weaned child rests against his mother, My soul is like a weaned child within me.

Psalm 37:7 Rest in the LORD and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who carries out wicked schemes.

1 Peter 3:4 but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.

Quieted In and By His LOVE

Quiet, Beloved. 

Quietness, Beloved.

Peace and Oasis.

Knowing that “I AM”,

Is with you,

In EVERY moment.

 

My desire is to quiet you

With and in My love.

When you become unsettled,

Draw apart and receive My love.

Invite and allow Me to quiet you,

With My love.

 

To come and be quieted, 

Does not require a literal,

Coming away.

I can do it in a moment,

While externally you continue,

To do what must be done.

 

There do need to be times,

Other times, daily and first thing,

Where you are choosing to  be intentional

About “be”ing with and allowing Me,

To quiet you with My Love.

 

As you do that, 

It will become natural,

To pause during any moment,

Of the day and simply receive My Love,

Afresh and be quieted in your innermost heart.

 

Be quiet, My Love, 

Be still, My Love,

You are safe,

All that is you is safe,

In My LOVE.

A never ending,

Quiet and gentle, 

Love.

The LOVE and JOY Cycle

There is a cycle of love and JOY initiated by God.

 

We love because He first loved us, 1 John 4:19 says so. (We love because he first loved us.)

 

Then Zep 3:17 reminds us that GOD rejoices over us with singing and quiets us with His love…(The LORD your God in the midst of you is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over you with joy; he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.) 

 

And our response to JOY directed to us is, guess what? A JOY response, which by the way is also a command…in Philippians 4:4.
Isn’t that NICE????
We can choose to speak to our soul, similar to what David did in Psalm 103:1 Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

Hope

From The Heart of Abba Today

Hope is found in relationship.

Hope comes forth, 
When the agony of genuine need,
Meets the hand of and the love of God.

When you come a place of,
Admitting what is wrong,
What you need and,

Then accept the truth,

That I AM is working ALL things,
For your good,
Hope arises.

That is not hope,
In a specified outcome,
designed by you.
It is the sure hope,
Which is not really even hope but fact,
That I AM is going to both walk with you,
Walk you through whatever it is and,
Provide for your real needs,
In a way that brings joy and MORE hope.

Hope is KNOWING,

That you are safe,
Not just eternally but,
In every next moment of life.

Isaiah 49:23b amp And you shall know [with an understanding based on personal experience] that I am the Lord; For they shall not be put to shame who wait and hope expectantly for Me.

Psalm 62:5 For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him.

Psalm 25:1-2 &4-7 NKJV
To You, O Lord, I lift up my soul.
2 O my God, I trust in You;
Let me not be ashamed;
Let not my enemies triumph over me.

4 Show me Your ways, O Lord;
Teach me Your paths.
5 Lead me in Your truth and teach me,
For You are the God of my salvation;
On You I wait all the day.

6 Remember, O Lord, Your tender mercies and Your lovingkindnesses,
For they are from of old.
7 Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions;
According to Your mercy remember me,
For Your goodness’ sake, O Lord.

Hope

From The Heart of Abba Today

Hope is evidenced,

In the ability,

To rest in serenity,

When surrounded, 

By turmoil.

 

Hope is an intangible,

State of heart,

Which produces,

A tangible outcome.

(Shalom).

 

Hope is not something,

You can drum up,

On your own.

You can’t even pray,

Yourself into a state of hope.

 

Hope comes from God.

It is a gift,

As well as a heart condition,

In a heart,

That has found it’s,

Place of Rest,

Trust and,

Serenity,

In My love.

 

Hope arises,

As you trust in Me.

Trust that I am Who I say I am.

Trust that I do love you.

Trust that I will indeed never abandon you.

That sort of trust,

Takes both time and bonding.

In order to be full blown.

 

Beloved, if you feel you do not have enough hope,

Do not beat yourself up.

Love yourself and love Me.

Allow yourself to come to Me,

Admitting your longing.

(Yes, everyone longs for hope).

Receive whatever I have for you,

In that moment of coming.

 

Do not focus on the lack of, 

Nor the abundance of hope.

Instead focus on the ONE 

Who is your Hope.

When You Feel Overwhelmed

Beloved,
When things are troubling you,
When circumstances of life are overwhelming,
You have an invitation to come to ME,
Just as you are in that moment,
“Overwhelmed”.

And as you come,
In the precise moment of bringing yourself
And your “overwhelmed by this” emotion,
You will find release.

The actual circumstance may be no different,
But your heart will find a place of rest and affirmation
In My love.
Never will you receive condemnation for being overwhelmed.

I am your Sabbath Rest.
You heart, your mind, your will and your emotions,
Are tenderly held in My love.

My desire is to calm and stabilize you,
So that you can go forth,
Secure in My love for you,
To live and move and have your very being,
In safety.
The safety that comes from knowing Who loves you and
Who is always with you.
No matter what life brings,
Or how you feel in any given moment.

Remember, Beloved,
I AM is Immanuel.

Kitty, is a feral cat. I was the first person to tame him, but then he moved next door to live. I had not seen him in months, but I have a great fondness for him and missed him. At the same time, I was glad he was safe and happy.  Yesterday I was our in the hammock and here comes Kitty. Longing to be patted. Did I pat him? You bet over and over. Was I GLAD to see him? Absolutely it was a big bright spot in my afternoon. So as I wrote this morning, I remembered how glad I was to see Kitty yesterday and you know what? Our Abba is ALWAYS glad to see us. Even if we have been away for a time. He is always ready to welcome us and “pat” us. Smile… have a good day, Go visit Abba if you haven’t already. He welcomes you however you are.

Trust = Rest + Peace

Beloved, can you choose REST again today?
Just for today?

Rest is a state of trusting Me.

When your heart is secure in My Love,
Then rest is possible.

There is no need to worry about the next moments of life.
Because each next moment there will be enough grace available.

I AM is with you,
In EVERY next moment.
When you remember that,
Trust that,
Then each moment can be a moment of rest.
Resting and trusting in My provision
As well the fact,
That I truly am both your Immanuel, your Shalom and your El Shaddai.

This is a photo from the pier at Jax Beach. It was overall a dreary day, but if you look, you see the sun is still there. Look again at the clouds. Yes, there are lots of clouds, but there is also a whole lot of beauty to be seen.
Proberbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
6 In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.

Lamentations 3:22-24
The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”

Rest

From The Heart of Abba Today

Beloved,
You are concerned with many things…
Not the same things as Martha but many things.

This is a day of rest for you.
Lay aside the cares and burdens of your life,
For one entire day.

Spend this day simply “being” with Me.
During this day, you will still move about and live life as normal,
But do not worry about any “next moment”.

Simply be present to Me, to whoever you meet and to yourself today.
Then at the end of “this day” ponder if you notice a difference.

Today, I will carry all your “next moments” securely in both My love and My presence.

Unexpected Joy
Unexplainable jOy
Unattainable in the natural joY

Springing forth JOY!
Bubbling up JOY!

Arising from sorrow,
Grief,
Or any kind of trouble.

Joy that owns the sorrow,
Admits the grief.

Yet looks,
Beyond,
Beside or,
Past it anyway.

Joy in the mundane things.
The smallest things.
Those little rays of hope,

That brighten the DARKest days
Or weeks,
Or months,
Or seasons.

Joy that is unEXPECTED,
UnEXPLAINABLE,
And UnATTAINABLE,
In the natural.

But we are a SUPERnatural people.
We are not bound,
TO or,
BY or,
WITHIN,
The natural world.

Lord open our eyes.
Open our hearts.

So we can see,
Beyond the current,
“Whatever it is”,
To YOU.

You ARE,
The source of EVERY GOOD and PERFECT gift.

Yes, even those,
Or especially those,
That are given on/in/ sometimes with
The HARDest DARKest most JOYless moments
Of our lives.

Psalm 30:5b weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning
Psalm 126:5 Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy.
